A three-star option on the castle side of town with a strong guest-review history. Confirm the precise walking route and taxi access before booking if mobility is a concern.
Budget
Berat has several old-town hostels, but this tier changes fastest. Use a current hotel or hostel search rather than treating a single name as permanent, and read the most recent reviews for access, air conditioning and cash-payment rules.
Split the stay in Gjirokastër
Kotoni Bed & Breakfast is a long-running, well-reviewed guesthouse. Stone City Hostel is the established budget name. Confirm current operation, rates and access before booking either.
